About Me

I am passionate about helping people find more wholeness and freedom in their life. Even though being human comes with times of difficulty, confusion, and loss, I have a firm belief that being human also comes with an inherent potential and natural movement towards healing, growth, and transformation. I believe that this potential is a part of all of us and that sometimes we just need help reconnecting to it.
I have a diverse background that informs who I am and how I work. I spent many years in the world of science and engineering, and I also have extensive experience studying and working with the body, movement, and dance. And the exploration of mindfulness, awareness, and compassion has been a foundational part of my background and interest in psychotherapy. I am fascinated with how we include the truths and beauty of the body, heart, mind, and spirit and how all of these aspects of being a human being can inform and enrich therapy. I earned my master's degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and am a Certified Hakomi Therapist. As part of my continued exploration of Hakomi, I have been a teaching assistant in the Boulder Hakomi Training for the last four years. I am skilled at creating a safe and supportive space, and I bring a unique combination of heart-felt presence, embodied insight, and systems awareness. My home is Boulder, Colorado where I love to dance, hike, read, photograph the wonder of nature, and spend time with good friends. |
